Sem Parar: a culture that integrates everyone

Mobility, Logistics and Human Resources 2024

Key takeaways

  • A strong organizational culture can serve as a point of convergence even in structures with multiple businesses and distinct identities.
  • Sustainable growth in expanding environments requires common values and behaviors, not just shared processes.
  • Forming Culture Guardians is a practical mechanism for spreading and maintaining cultural coherence across different areas.
  • Culture and innovation can be integrated: a Business Incubator aligned with cultural principles turns culture into a growth platform.
  • Preserving specific identities and building collective belonging are not opposing goals, but complementary ones in cultural integration processes.

The dilemma

Sem Parar, one of the most recognized brands in mobility in Brazil, came to be part of Corpay, an American multinational specialized in corporate solutions. With the new structure, a strategic challenge emerged: building a culture capable of sustaining an ecosystem of multiple businesses.

Corpay’s ambition was to expand its presence in Brazil by incorporating new companies and expanding into complementary segments, such as logistics, human resources and corporate services. This required a culture that preserved the strength of Sem Parar’s identity but was also open enough to integrate new businesses, teams and partners.

In addition, the organization already operated on different fronts, B2B and B2C, making it even more important to build a common language capable of connecting different realities.

What we heard

Throughout the diagnosis, we identified a strong desire for integration among the organization’s various areas and businesses.

The teams recognized Sem Parar as a solid and aspirational cultural reference, capable of serving as a point of convergence for the entire operation. At the same time, there was clarity that the future culture would need to be inclusive and flexible, welcoming both companies already incorporated and those that would still join the expansion journey.

There was also the perception that sustainable growth would require more than shared processes: it would be necessary to create common values and behaviors that strengthened the sense of belonging without erasing the richness of the different identities present in the group.

What we built

We carried out a broad cultural diagnosis to understand the teams’ perception of strategy, values, behaviors and future challenges.

Based on this listening, we conducted a collaborative process of cultural integration, consolidating values and building commitments capable of guiding the desired behaviors for an increasingly diverse and multifaceted organization.

As part of the implementation, we formed a group of Culture Guardians, responsible for spreading concepts, strengthening the common language and supporting the evolution of the culture across different areas and businesses.

The project was complemented by a Business Incubator, which encouraged the creation of innovative initiatives aligned with the principles defined in the new culture deck. In this way, culture stopped being merely a behavioral driver and came to act also as a platform for innovation and growth.

What it cultivated

The project strengthened the organization’s culture, consolidating a DNA recognized and shared across different businesses and teams.

The new cultural foundation expanded the company’s capacity to integrate operations, attract talent and incorporate new partners without losing strategic coherence. More than supporting Corpay’s expansion in Brazil, the initiative created the conditions for sustainable growth, capable of connecting people, businesses and opportunities under a single vision of the future.

Today, culture acts as a strategic asset of the organization, serving as a reference for decisions, innovation and expansion in the Brazilian and international markets.

Let's talk

People follow behaviors more than strategy.

Every company already has a culture. The difference lies between letting it happen or choosing it as a force capable of guiding the present and the future. If this reflection makes sense to you, it is a good place to start.
